Pronto Staffing is seeking a dependable Quality Control Technician for a food production facility.
Job Summary
Pronto Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Technician to help keep food products safe and high this role you will test ingredients check finished products and help keep equipment clean. This position is a great fit for someone with food industry experience who pays close attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming food ingredients and packaging to make sure they meet quality standards
- Take samples of products and test them for quality and safety
- Enter testing results into computer systems and report any issues
- Check and clean testing tools to make sure they work correctly
- Perform food safety checks and plant cleanliness audits
- Keep bad or damaged products separated from good products
- Help prepare product samples to ship out for testing
Requirements
- Experience as a quality control inspector in the food industry is preferred
- Ability to use computers and basic software like Word and Excel
- Experience using lab testing equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards like SQF or BRC is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must speak read and write in English
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver license
Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand walk climb stoop and kneel during your shift
- Regularly lift up to 20 lbs frequently lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Work inside a busy plant environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Required dress code includes jeans a t-shirt and steel-toe boots
