Description

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and enforcing food safety and quality standards across all plant operations in compliance with SQF USDA and HACCP requirements. This position leads the quality assurance team manages documentation systems and drives continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products consistently meet regulatory and customer expectations. The Quality Assurance Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Quality Assurance.

Requirements

Certifications

  • HACCP certification (Required)
  • SQF knowledge (Required)
  • PCQI knowledge (Required; certification preferred)

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in a food processing or food manufacturing environment including at least one year in a supervisory role

Skills

  • Maintaining the SQF system
  • Corrective action planning
  • Audit and inspection management
  • Regulatory compliance (SQF and USDA)
  • Knowledge of GMPs
  • Problem solving
  • Leadership and team management
  • Being able to conduct GMP audits
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Microsoft Office / data management proficiency for report review and documentation
  • Statistical process control (SPC) or data analysis skills for monitoring responsibilities
