RSi is looking to fill a Quality Assurance Specialist position to support our NASAcustomer on the Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support contract (METTS). This position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance by managing quality assurance activities conducting audits analyzing documentation and guiding others using extensive experience.

Summary of duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
• Conducting audits and reviews
• Analyzing data and documentation
• May lead and direct the work of others
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Required Minimum Education/Experience/Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited institution or 5 years of directly related experience
• Familiarity with a variety of quality assurance concepts practices and procedures

Preferred Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/IT Skills/Certifications:

• A wide degree of creativity and latitude
• Previous NASA experience

Work Environment:

• Environmentally controlled heated and cooled shop area subject to machinery noise
• Occasional outdoor work.

Physical Environment/Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Ability to lift up to twenty pounds on an occasional basis
• Sit or stand for extended periods of time
• May require walking bending climbing stairs and navigating shop/machine work areas

Other:

• This position may require occasional overtime and may include second or third shift support for 24/7 onsite or on-call support based on customer needs and contract requirements.
• All positions supporting the METTS III contract are contingent upon successful completion of NASA medical screenings at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter. The need for these screenings is determined based on the outcomes of the Safety Health and Environmental Job Assessment Questionnaire.
• Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access/applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements. You will be required to provide two (2) forms of Federal I9 documents. You will be required to provide a REAL ID compliant identification to gain access to RSA and MSFC. Your name must match on both forms of ID be original (no copies/digital) and be unexpired.
