Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager

Job Summary

As a Quality Manager you will lead the sites quality strategy and programs ensuring products processes and systems meet company customer and regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations champion continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate across departments to drive operational excellence. This role is instrumental in maintaining ISO compliance supporting third-party certifications and advancing plant objectives related to safety quality efficiency and cost management.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions ensuring all inspections testing First Shot Approvals product releases and non-conformance activities are completed in accordance with company customer and certification requirements.
• Oversee Quality Laboratory operations including equipment maintenance and calibration inventory management budget administration and the accurate reporting of quality data in our systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards ISO 9001/14001 requirements and third-party certifications by leading audits management reviews corrective and preventive actions and certification activities
• Approve Certificates of Compliance verify raw material and component conformance and maintain quality documentation that supporting production and customer requirements.
• Partner with Production Engineering Maintenance and other stakeholders to monitor quality performance resolve issues identify improvement opportunities and support plant goals related to safety quality efficiency and cost control.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with certifying agencies and external partners while coordinating audits and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality operational efficiency customer satisfaction and overall business performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Science Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment plastics industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 standards quality management systems data analysis reporting auditing corrective actions and third-party certifications.
• Proven leadership communication problem-solving and continuous improvement skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office SAP ERP system experience is an asset
