Location: This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Chatsworth CA offering the chance to work closely with manufacturing engineering and quality teams in a collaborative production environment.
Note: Candidates must have 5 years of manufacturing quality experience 3 years of supervisory or management experience and hands-on experience with FAI and SCAR documentation within ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality environments. Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience is also required.

Job Description
- Lead the day-to-day Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across manufacturing operations.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 AS9100 customer requirements and internal standards.
- Manage First Article Inspection documentation SCARs corrective actions preventive actions and nonconforming material processes.
- Supervise train coach and develop Quality Department personnel.
- Oversee receiving in-process first article and final inspection activities.
- Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods such as 5-Why.
- Develop and manage internal audit schedules and support customer registrar and regulatory audits.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to investigate quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Analyze quality metrics and trends to reduce defects scrap rework and customer complaints.
- Ensure products meet drawings specifications workmanship standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain quality procedures work instructions forms records and document-control processes.
- Support inspection teams with technical issues measuring equipment and quality documentation.
Qualifications
- 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Hands-on FAI and SCAR documentation experience.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality requirements.
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
- Experience with corrective action root cause analysis NCMR audits and inspection processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings specifications and customer requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelors degree in Quality Engineering Manufacturing Business or a related field preferred.
- Experience with GD&T metal manufacturing machining plating or similar manufacturing processes preferred.
- ASQ or Internal Auditor certifications are a plus.
- ERP system experience and Spanish language skills are also helpful.
