Job Summary

Summary:

  • The Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for applying Quality Assurance (QA) and Release Management methodologies to test application changes updates and enhancements. This role collaborates closely with Clinical Revenue Cycle Technical Leaders Project Managers and Analysts to ensure the quality stability and successful deployment of information systems applications.
  • The position develops evaluates documents and implements QA processes testing methodologies and test plans to validate system functionality and workflows. Additionally the analyst supports release management activities by auditing monitoring and enforcing established processes and policies to ensure cross-domain integration testing completeness configuration consistency and successful deployments.

Qualifications


Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Healthcare Informatics or a related field; OR
  • Four (4) years of related IT or operational experience in a healthcare environment.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 23 years of progressive healthcare IT experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading QA efforts for large enterprise-wide software implementations.
  • Experience with application testing release management and quality assurance methodologies.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Epic application certification or proficiency.
  • Experience with integrated healthcare information systems.
  • Project management experience related to application testing and software implementation.


Certifications:

  • Epic Application Certification/Proficiency (preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Develop execute and maintain test plans test cases and testing documentation for system updates enhancements and implementations.
  • Perform integrated regression and end-to-end testing for application upgrades updates and third-party software implementations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through a strong understanding of impacted workflows.
  • Analyze QA processes conduct gap analyses and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and develop new test scripts as needed to support evolving business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot testing issues independently and proactively.

Release Management

  • Support and enforce release management processes and policies.
  • Monitor configuration integration testing completeness and deployment readiness.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across cross-functional system changes and releases.
  • Coordinate release activities with internal teams and external vendors.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate across teams and project boundaries to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Represent stakeholder needs and expectations during complex system updates and enhancements.
  • Clearly communicate QA findings risks and process issues to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Provide organized status reports and updates for stakeholder communications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned QA processes and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and escalate concerns when necessary.

Leadership & Professional Development

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in QA methodologies and healthcare workflows.
  • Mentor and support new team members on QA processes tools and best practices.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions by evaluating options risks and benefits.
  • Make sound decisions in situations with incomplete information while maintaining project momentum.
  • Provide feedback and oversight on team deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve personal performance work habits and professional relationships.

Technical & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain a working knowledge of information technology systems applications operations and support functions.
  • Adhere to organizational IS standards protocols and best practices.
  • Manage medium-complexity QA initiatives and testing efforts.
