Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) Program Consultant – MCH

Responsibilities:

Provides consultation service delivery supervision in-service training pre-service training on-the-jobtrainingand related support services to the staff of the Qualified Residential Treatment Programs and Independent Living Programs.

Makes regular observations for use inidentifyingstaff strengths andtrainingsneeds followed by written conceptual feedback.

Assistsdirect care staff with youth intake implementing individual treatment plans and program development.

Writesall reports as required by policy procedurelicensingand contractual responsibilities.

Provides a direct conduit to the program administrative office for youth needs and concerns.

Assists Director of QRTPs with the developmentproductionand presentation of pre-service/in-service workshop training on an as needed basis.

Assistswith production and delivery of Teaching-Parent/Behavioral Instructor professional evaluation and other data collection and quality control programs on an as needed basis. Has primary involvement in the annual performance evaluations of the staff of youth homes under his/her supervision.

Assistswith evaluation and recommending youth admissions into the Qualified Residential Treatment Programs and Independent Living Programs.

Assistswith the recruitment andselectionof direct care staff.

Ensures that the home isadequately staffedby working with the team members to see that shifts areeffectivelycovered and will provide coverage for unplanned lapses in scheduling until coverage can be arranged.

Develops a normalized home environment using the Teaching Family Model that encourages the development/building of close family relationships among the a family-styleenvironment in the homes.

Manages money andexpendsfunds for youth homeoperation. Maintains a check card and other fiscal records as directed andin accordance withsound business practice.

Communicates e-mailsmemosand other pertinent information to all staff memberswith regard toyouth care and treatment as well as home also responsible for monitoring correspondence via mailfaxor other mediums.

Makes presentations and interprets agency programs at professional conferences and to community agencies and organizations within the geographical area of the programsunder their supervision.

Develops andadministers andannual service delivery plan for youth homes and provides detailed documentation of all activities.

Isa member and active participant in the Teaching Family Association and other relevant local and nationalorganizations.

Provides24-hour emergency consultation to youth homes.

Serves as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee andmaintainsappointed joint commission standards/sectionsas assigned by the Director of QRTPs.

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of QRTPs or other applicable personnel.

Provides other related functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proven ability as a self-motivatorand the aptitude to work in a high stress fast paced position with a minimal amount of supervision.

Degree from an accredited Universityrequired (exception possible with Licensing Alternative Compliance).

Certification in theTeaching-FamilyModelrequired.

A minimum of three years experience working with youth is preferred.

Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training CPR & First Aid.

Possess or able to obtain a valid Arkansas Drivers License within30daysfrom dateof hire.

Must be eligible to be insured to drive MFH vehicles.

Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health regardless of gender.

Must have good auditoryvisualand olfactory ability.â

Requires the ability to sit and stand forlong periodsof time and intermittently walk stand stoop kneelcrouchand reach with hands and arms.â â

Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objectstoolsor controls.â

Must be able tomaintaineffective audio visualdiscriminationand perception needed for making observations communicating withothers andreading and writing and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.â

Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means to review information and enter/retrieve data to see and read characters on a computer screenchartor other treatment items.â

Requires the strength and stamina to perform clinical duties.â
