What Youll Do as the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional:
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) is part of the interdisciplinary team which coordinates services and programs for youth with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.
  • Resolution of any discrepancies or conflicts between programmatic medial dietary and vocational aspects (if needed) of the youths assessment and program.
  • Follow-up on recommendations for services equipment or programs as identified by the functional assessment
  • Interacts directly with:
    • Clients and families - frequency varies with needs availability of client and level of intensity (several times per week to weekly and may include availability in the evenings and weekends).
    • Residential therapists physicians and other employees involved in the case.
    • Community agencies and providers such as: court schools health care providers referrals sources and other services.
  • Caseload expectations will take into account training case complexity level of frequency and/or other assigned duties.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  • BA/BS Social Work/Counseling/Psychology or a related field required.
  • Masters Degree in Social Work/Counseling or a related field preferred.
  • One year experience in a social service setting working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities preferably in a residential setting.
  • Valid drivers license and proof of insurance
