We are currently seekinga Mechanical Quality Control Technicianto work out of our Chesapeake Virginia facility.
Minimum requirements are:
High school degree or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience using inside and outside micrometers vernier calipers dial indicators depth micrometers and various other testing equipment.
Must have accurate and legible recordkeeping skills.
Must be physically able to safely operate equipment able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and capable of standing/stooping/kneeling for long periods of time.
We are a service industry on call to our customers 24/7/265. To meet our customers needs employees must be able to work overtime as needed including extending hours outside of the assigned shift. This also includes weekends/holidays.
Former military mechanical technician a definite plus.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Perform dimensional measurements and visual inspection of disassembled electric motors and associated parts to determine necessary repairs.
Verification of new and repaired parts following machining against drawing or specified requirements.
Perform in-process surveillance and release completed motors for shipment.
Complete all required paperwork completely and legibly.
Candidates will be given capability tests as part of the selection process.
NOTE: All positions require drug and background screening.
