QC Technician Assurance

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply quality assurance principles in a manufacturing environment to support compliance and prevention of defects
• Verify that in-process controls inspections and work instructions are followed correctly
• Perform verification checks using quality forms and checklist to confirm process capability and compliance
• Perform quality inspection such as dimensional with inspection tools (calipers micrometers thread gauges scales etc.) & visual inspection as well as other qualification and validation tests such as DSC tensile and etc.
• Support identification segregation and documentation of nonconforming product in accordance with Quality procedures
• Ensure correct application and removal of API monogram per authorization and nonconformance status
• Complete accurate documentation and maintain required quality records
• Support corrective actions by identifying trends recurring issues or process gaps
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Comply with all NOV Company HSE and Quality policies guidelines and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• High Scholl Diploma or Associates degree preferred (Quality Business Engineering or related field)
• Three years of verifiable work experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Factory environment with wide temperature variation
• Standing walking bending and stooping up to 12 hours daily
• Repetitive movement (shoveling sweeping fastening) up to 12 hours daily
• Lifting to 50 lbs. regularly
• Push/pull activities up to 12 hours daily
• Travel less than 10%

• Trained in or able to learn API Q1 and ISO 9001 requirements
• Basic math skills
• Ability to accurately use inspection and measuring tools (scales OD tape rulers thread gauges calipers micrometers)
• Ability to adapt and be cross-trained across quality-related tasks
• Ability to learn and follow technical repair assembly and verification procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand drawings instructions and work procedures
