Responsibilities:

Perform quality assurance and quality control oversight for construction activities across multiple active project sites

Review construction documents drawings and specifications to verify compliance with project requirements

Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards safety regulations and contract documents

Monitor construction activities to ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans and applicable regulatory standards

Identify deficiencies and non-conformance issues document findings and track corrective actions through resolution

Collaborate with project managers engineers contractors and inspectors to resolve quality-related issues

Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation reports and logs for project records and client reporting

Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and inspection plans

Analyze quality trends and recommend continuous improvement measures to enhance project delivery

Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates and risk identification

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction engineering QA/QC or quality management

Proven experience working on utilities water or wastewater infrastructure projects (required)

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland and/or Virginia (preferred)

Completion or ability to obtain Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification

Experience working with DC Water municipal utilities or similar public agencies

Familiarity with USACE/NAVFAC quality programs or similar frameworks

Strong understanding of:

  • Construction processes and sequencing
  • Quality assurance methodologies and standards
  • Regulatory compliance within public infrastructure projects

Experience performing field inspections and construction quality oversight

Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and contract documents

Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams

Compensation:

Salary range: $140000 - $182000/yearly (dependent on years of experience competence travel requirements)
