Position Summary

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist/Analyst to oversee purchasing activities for our concrete block manufacturing operation and masonry supply retail store. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of products including raw materials production supplies store inventory equipment office supplies and maintenance items.

The ideal candidate will balance inventory levels vendor relationships pricing negotiations and timely purchasing to support both manufacturing operations and retail sales.

This is an onsite role located in Chambersburg Pennsylvania. Remote work is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials and production supplies for concrete brick and block manufacturing
• Maintain inventory levels for masonry store products and retail merchandise
• Order office supplies maintenance items tools and operational materials
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Obtain pricing negotiate costs and compare supplier options
• Monitor inventory usage and anticipate purchasing needs
• Coordinate deliveries and resolve shipping or supply issues
• Track purchase orders invoices and receiving documentation
• Resolve receiving discrepancies and invoicing issues
• Work closely with production sales warehouse and accounting teams
• Assist with inventory counts and inventory management processes
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing procurement inventory or supply chain experience required (5 years)
• Manufacturing construction materials building supply or industrial experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficient with computer systems spreadsheets and inventory software
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of masonry concrete products or construction materials is a plus
