- Develop and execute purchasing strategies that support company objectives.
- Source and procure raw materials finished goods packaging office supplies equipment and services.
- Negotiate pricing contracts payment terms and supplier agreements.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Evaluate supplier quality pricing and delivery performance.
- Review and approve purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements.
- Coordinate purchasing schedules with manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs while maintaining product quality.
- Resolve vendor issues related to shortages pricing quality or shipping delays.
- Research and qualify new domestic and international suppliers.
- Prepare purchasing reports cost analyses and supplier performance metrics.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor purchasing team members while promoting continuous improvement.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Operations Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or medical device experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite Sage SAP or Oracle.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
