Purchasing Manager

Summary of PositionThis position is responsible for overseeing the on-going operations of the Purchasing Purchasing Manager will use expertise in planning and supply chain optimization to ensure the organization meets its objectives in relation to in-stock levels inventory turns GMROI customer backorders and on-hand inventory targets. This person will be responsible for assisting the company in effectively and efficiently managing its inventory across all channels in the Company. major areas of accountabilityLead purchasing team to ensure achievement of key inventory metrics (e.g. in-stock rates backorders etc.) and inventory on-hand inventory management efforts for Fulfilled by Amazon (i.e. FMA) a high-performing team focused on achieving company planned purchase orders on small subset of Company development execution and maintenance of Purchasing Department SOPs and Buyer Training and implement continuous improvement initiatives that improve inventory quality and productivity improve efficiency of operations from sku forecasting through customer receipt and support dynamic changes in market with other departments to identify opportunities for more effective inventory strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the acquisition of accurate relevant and timely information to assist in optimized inventory submit and present periodic reports as established by leadership to identify purchasing opportunities or areas of for positionSelf-driven adaptable and resourceful; able to work with limited verbal and written communication skillsBachelors degree in Logistics Engineering or related field preferred3-5 years of experience in demand planning buying and inventory management.3-5 years of experience in managing teams with a minimum of 3 years in managing demand planning/buying proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel. Basic Excel Macro/VBA skills a plusProficiency in Microsoft AXor Dynamics 365 a plus Proficiency in R and Tableau a plusCPPO Certified Purchasing Manager Certified Contract Negotiator CPPB or other advanced certification in procurement or contract administration a Applicants only - Potentially a Hybrid role
