Pump Mechanic

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPump Repair and MaintenanceDisassemble inspect evaluate and rebuild centrifugal multistage vertical turbine positive displacement submersible and specialty and document shaft runout bearing fits impeller clearances and other critical bearings seals wear rings sleeves gaskets packing and other pump alignment of pumps and drivers using laser or dial indicator vibration leakage overheating low capacity and other equipment performance root cause failure analysis and document OperationsOperate shop equipment including hydraulic presses lathes mills balancing equipment and lifting and interpret mechanical drawings pump assembly prints and OEM accurate repair records inspection reports and measurement equipment for performance testing and final in estimating repair requirements and identifying replacement ServicePerform onsite installation removal maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps and rotating with customers regarding equipment condition and repair pump and driver alignments startup assistance and operational occasional overtime and travel as and QualityFollow all company safety policies and with lockout/tagout (LOTO) confined space rigging and lifting a clean and organized work repairs meet OEM specifications and company quality QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.3 years of industrial mechanical repair experience repairing centrifugal pumps rotating equipment or similar industrial to read precision measuring instruments including micrometers calipers dial indicators and bore troubleshooting and problem-solving to safely operate cranes forklifts and rigging drivers license and acceptable driving record.
