What You Will Do:

• Immerse yourself in a full-time Monday-Friday co-op session that will run January- July/August(including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fullyengage with this working mentorship opportunity).
• Provide Engineering support and ownership for the Fuel and Oil pump product line in support of new development pump design efforts and production/fielded pump programs
• Support lead design engineers in performance of CFD analysis in support of new pump designs and field investigations
• Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to identify causes and mitigation plans for issues affecting pump program productivity quality and customer-satisfaction
• Provide customer support for Field Failure investigations
• Resolve Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs) by providing clarifications and processing Change Requests (CRs)

What You Will Learn:

• Manage piece part supplier transitions
• Pursue cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
• Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project.
• Support Quality investigations as necessary when piece-part issues affect product deliveries.
• Verify internal processes are being executed to reduce probability of engineering turn backs.
• Read and interpret drawings provide mark ups and coordinate drawing changes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelors or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or related Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience using analytical and developmental software such as MATLAB CAD NX and/or AutoCAD
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel Word and/or PowerPoint)

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with mechanical hardware is preferred

Experience may be obtained through onthejob experience research coursework or projects.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
