Overview

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Protects life safeguards property and maintains peace and order on the college campus through enforcement of local state and federal laws as well as college rules and regulations.

• Pro-actively patrols a residential community and prevents crime.
• Responds to emergency situations and works closely with local police and emergency services personnel.
• Conducts preliminary investigations involving criminal or suspicious activities.
• Prepares writes and files reports.

Other Responsibilities:

• Completes other responsibilities as assigned. Participates as an active member of the team.
• Participates in department and college activities and supports implementation of shared goals and initiatives.
• Provides backup support to other members of the team.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 1 year of experience and knowledge of procedures for effective security codes and regulations related to the work law enforcement
• Understanding procedures terminology and techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic ethnic and cultural backgrounds in person often where relations may be confrontational or strained.
