Public Finance Associate

Experience: 2 to 5 years in public finance law.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting public finance transactions including tax-exempt and taxable bond offerings Industrial Development Agency (IDA) financings and other governmental financings.
• Experience with economic development projects and public-private partnerships including renewable energy housing infrastructure and civic facilities.
• Ability to manage multiple clients matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with public finance transactions including bond issuances IDA financings and other municipal financings.
• Draft and review transaction documents including offering documents bond resolutions and ordinances and PILOT agreements.
• Conduct legal research and due diligence related to federal tax law securities law and state and local tax law.
• Support closings and coordinate with underwriters financial advisors issuers and other transaction participants.
• Prepare closing and post-closing documents and maintain organized transaction files.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts as appropriate.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
