Description

Summary

Provides technical support to department personnel in processing commercial insurance policies. Such serving will include verbal and written communication internally with staff and externally with current clients and other office support activities.


60% Client/Policy Services

  • Provides daily support to public entity insurance accounts.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing accurate properly completed certificates of insurance.
  • Confirming existence of coverage certified; checks for and secures missing information and authorization when necessary.
  • Completing simple change requests checks endorsements cancellation endorsements and audits for accuracy and relevancy.
  • Preparing accurate properly completed auto ID cards processes new business and renewal. certificates auto ids endorsements cancellations and audits.
  • Following up on direct bill late payments and keeping Producer informed.
  • Market and/or prepare renewal files and renewal kits including ordering of loss runs and loss summaries.
  • Process claim filing for PEI clients and communicate claim acknowledgement information to the insured.
  • Learning all public entity service standards and procedures.

20% File Management

Documenting all correspondence follow up for necessary information updates at appropriate times and keep the client files organized and up to date.


10% Teamwork

Works together with the team and with other departments such as Marketing Accounting Claims Producers etc. including conferencing with the Producer or Account Executive to discuss the execution of strategies. Manages PTO to work with departmental needs. Volunteers to back up and/or assist other Associates as needed.


10% Determination

Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals as set forth in the organizations education program.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Certifications

Must be able to obtain insurance licenses and designations as set forth by the organizations education plans.
