PT Receiver

Primary Purpose
The PT Receiver ensures the proper receiving of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) products by following Food Lions policies and procedures. The role maintains standards in line with the Standard Practice Manual maximizes sales through excellent customer service and minimizes shrink by accurately handling inventoryFood Lion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide fast friendly and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.

• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.

• Protect company assets by accurately receiving and returning DSD products.

• Execute and demonstrate proper vendor receiving policies.

• Work with vendors to resolve errors policy violations or excessive inventory.

• Collaborate with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure timely vendor promotions.

• Implement weekly merchandising notes promptly.

• Verify DSD plan-o-grams for accuracy.

• Account for and file daily/weekly DSD tickets beer/wine invoices and EDI invoices.

• Handle reclaims and damages.

• Perform CAO-related activities stocking and cigarette carton rotation.

• Use company tools such as the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and ordering (CAO).

• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.

• Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations.

• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge maintaining neat and clean appearance.

• Complete required Computer-Based Training (CBT) Training Packet and Training Aid courses.

• Perform other duties as assignedFood Lion1.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal organizational communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.

• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical demands of the jobFood Lion1.

This role is part-time and typically located in a Food Lion store in the Charlotte NC area with similar duties found in other regional locations.
