JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Recreation Park and Tourism Management (RPTM) is seeking a student workerto fill a part-time marketing and communications position to helpsupport the promotion of RPTM programs units services and events.
This is a paidpositionandthestudent worker will be asked to workapproximately5-10hours per week. Thestudent can workremotelyand hours are flexible with weekly/ bi-weekly update meetings with the Director of the RPTM Student Success and Engagement Center (SSEC).
The workers primary responsibilities will include:
Programming and event development planning and coordinating of programs put on by the SSEC
Assist with the administration and operations in SSEC
Developing content and coordinating the promotions/social media SSEC calendar and accounts
The ideal candidate should have experienceprogramming or event planning or have an interest in developing these skills further. The candidate should alsopossess excellentwriting andediting skills. Proficiency working in Microsoft Office365software applicationsis required. Basic promotion design skills (e.g. Canva Adobe Express) are preferred but not required.
Theworker must demonstrateexcellentattention to detailand time management skills be organized and self-directed to work is open toall students but RPTM students and/or students enrolled in the Certificate for Meetings and Events is preferred.
