Stop & Shops Deli Associate/PT Clerk role is a customer-focused hands-on position in the deli department combining food preparation customer service and store operations.

Deli associates at Stop & Shop are responsible for preparing and serving fresh food items maintaining deli displays and providing excellent customer service. The role is often part-time and may be scheduled flexibly depending on store needs

• Customer Service: Interact with customers to take orders recommend products and provide meal options

• Food Preparation: Slice meats cheeses and other deli items; prepare sandwiches salads hot dishes and special orders (e.g. party platters catering trays)

• Order Fulfillment: Weigh package and price products; assemble custom orders according to customer specifications

• Display & Stocking: Maintain and restock deli cases rotate products for freshness and keep displays organized and appealing

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain deli equipment such as meat slicers scales and ovens

• Food Safety: Clean and sanitize workstations utensils and equipment to meet hygiene standards.

• Inventory Support: Assist with unloading deliveries and checking stock levels

• Team Support:Help with other store duties as needed during busy periods
