Department of Psychology:TheDepartment of Psychology consists of18tenured/tenure track faculty are taught by part-time lecturer faculty as department offers both a minor and a BA in Psychology as well as an MS in Psychology intended to prepare students forlicensureas Marriage and Family Therapists. The Psychology Department includes a diverse and inclusive group of faculty and students. Ingeneralthepsychologystudentpopulationismore diverse than the general campus population with 65% underrepresented minority students compared to 50% forCPP overall. The position primarily requires work to be completed physically on campus. Most faculty members fulfill their responsibilities in person with some flexibility for remote days to support a healthy work-life faculty members meet regularly and work collaboratively (they often attend the same conferences work together to improve curriculum share resources with one another collaborate on research etc.).The environment is collegial supportive and focused on faculty development.
Position description: The new facultymemberwill prepare and teach classes that serve the needs of the department and create a welcoming engaging and constructive experience for students. They will advise students on career-related and academic topics. They will supervise student research activities and support their academic pursuits. They will be productive byestablishinga line of research through publication and presentation of their work. They will serve the institution by collaborating with colleagues on curriculum administrative and human resource-related tasks at the department college and universitylevels. The new facultymemberwill continue to develop themselves by learning aboutteaching technology and by keeping abreast of developments in their facultymemberwill teach courses on a variety of topics (e.g. abnormal psychology theories of counseling basic counseling skills treatment of children/families/couples and research methods in psychology) and will be expected to teach in our clinical MS program which prepares students forlicensureas Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs). This position/title is covered by the California Faculty Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum requirements include:

- PhD in Clinical Psychology Counseling PsychologySchool PsychologyMarriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field by time of appointment.
