PS FA4 Press Operator (Manufacturing Engineering Specialist)

MCC Manufacturing Inc. Napa CAManufacturing Engineering Specialist will Operate Gallus EMS510 - 20 11 color UV servo driven modular platform press. Will Operate Nilpeter FA4-17 11 color UV servo driven modular platform press. Troubleshoot printing equipment. Keeps the work cell to a proper 5Sstandard at all times. Use Radius (MIS) system. Approves all tooling files before tools are ordered. The Manufacturing Engineering Specialist provides technical and engineering support for advanced custom-configured wine label printing presses and performs skilled operation of the Gallus EMS510 (20 11 color UV servo-driven press) and the Nilpeter FA4 (17 11 color UV servo-driven press) for testing qualification troubleshooting and process validation. Duties include analyzing press performance conducting diagnostic print runs performing equipment inspections and making engineering-level adjustments to ensure equipment meets quality registration and mechanical standards. Maintains the work cell in compliance with 5S organizational requirements. Utilizes the Radius Manufacturing Information System (MIS) for job configuration production documentation and technical data tracking. Reviews verifies and approves tooling files before procurement to ensure compatibility with machine configuration and production specifications. Participates in engineering qualification validation and acceptance testing of new or modified printing presses. Evaluates print quality registration accuracy output speed capability mechanical reliability and tooling compatibility. Performs machine capability studies and prepares technical documentation for process improvements. Supports capital equipment approval processes including the assessment and sign-off of new printing presses prior to full production integration. Provides technical guidance and support to press operators regarding calibration standards troubleshooting methods and advanced printing process a bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering or manufacturing engineering technology and 1 year of experience in the skillsets listed in the job description.
