Job Description:
Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers is looking for a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) to join our in Ada Outpatient Clinic who embodies the agency core values of Hope Dedication and Community.
The RSS provides peer support services based on an individualized recovery-focused service philosophy that allows individuals the opportunity to manage their own recovery and advocacy process.
The RSS will work to enhance the development of natural supports coping skills and other skills necessary for individuals served to function independently in the community.
Serves as an advocate and provides information and peer support for consumers in a community setting.
Performs a wide range of tasks to assist consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. Must possess the skills to maintain a high level of professional and ethical interactions with consumers and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Lived experience as a recipient of mental health services.
Must possess ability to work with the public to maintain an effective working relationship with others and to maintain confidentiality.
Must obtain RSS certification through ODMHSAS within first 3 months of employment and maintain throughout employment.
