Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
Serves as a clinical resource mentor and role model to APP colleagues.
Develops a plan of care within scope of practice utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care.
Uses prescriptive authority procedures referrals treatments and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations.
Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
Provides clinical leadership.
Supports life long learning.
Completes assigned goals.
Responsible for generating and communicating on-call schedule.
Participates in project initiatives and regular meetings related to area of practice.
Serves as a liaison between physicians staff and administration.
Experience
- Minimum Required
2 years clinical experience functioning in the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner First Assist role.
Education
Minimum Required
A graduate of an accredited physician assistant training program and has successfully completed the examination of the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants or a graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
Special Skills
Computer literate.
Licensure
Minimum Required
Current license by the state they practice. Eligible for or have certificate of fitness/prescription privileges.
-BLS within 14 days of hire.
