Position Highlights
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join us as a Proton Physicist. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for radiation oncology and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The position is based at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha NE.
We preferred candidates with proton therapy experience strong analytical and problemsolving skills and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Proton Physicist Description:
Serve as Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist to support our Proton Therapy clinical and medical staff on treatment simulation planning and the supervision of proton treatment delivery. Responsibilities also include performing equipment QA coordinating quality and safety programs working with service engineers and contributing to clinical research efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Medicalphysicsor PhD in Physics required.
- Acquirefull ABR Board certificationin Therapy Medical Physicswithin 5 years of employment required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum twoyearsProton therapy experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in treatment planning withRayStationTPSpreferred.
- ABR Board Certification in Therapy MedicalPhysicspreferred.
