Job Summary

Overview

Seeking a Protection & Control Design Engineer to support transmission generation and distribution projects involving protection & control systems and substation physical design. This role includes both new and existing substation projects and offers opportunities to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and review protection & control drawings including one-lines three-lines AC/DC schematics wiring diagrams panel layouts and bills of materials.
  • Design and review physical substation drawings including grounding plans conduit and raceway layouts electrical plans profiles and related calculations.
  • Collaborate with engineers designers project managers and clients to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Participate in site evaluations and engineering scope development.
  • Support project execution through quality control and technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Engineering Technology degree may also be considered).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of relay one-lines three-lines control schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent communication organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
