Job Summary
Overview
Seeking a Protection & Control Design Engineer to support transmission generation and distribution projects involving protection & control systems and substation physical design. This role includes both new and existing substation projects and offers opportunities to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Design and review protection & control drawings including one-lines three-lines AC/DC schematics wiring diagrams panel layouts and bills of materials.
- Design and review physical substation drawings including grounding plans conduit and raceway layouts electrical plans profiles and related calculations.
- Collaborate with engineers designers project managers and clients to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
- Participate in site evaluations and engineering scope development.
- Support project execution through quality control and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Engineering Technology degree may also be considered).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of relay one-lines three-lines control schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication organizational and computer skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110000 - $140000
