The RoleWe are currently seeking a Protection Control and Automation Engineer to join our team and support the delivery testing commissioning and integration of advanced control protection and automation systems that enable safe reliable and efficient energy operations. This role is suited to an experienced engineer who is ready to take ownership of technical delivery activities across the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for planning and executing testing and commissioning activities supporting system integration validating control and protection systems and working closely with clients vendors and project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Location & Travel
This is a Remote or Hybrid position. Expected travel up to 45-65% for site visits to meet role requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) commissioning and energisation activities for control automation and electrical systems.
- Coordinate technical activities with OEMs subcontractors system integrators and project stakeholders during factory and site execution phases.
- Act as a key client-facing engineering representative during testing commissioning and project close-out activities.
- Support EPMS SCADA PLC and automation system integration through verification of communications data mapping and control functionality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechatronics Control Systems Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3 years of experience in testing commissioning integration or implementation of industrial control automation or power systems.
- Experience with PLC SCADA DCS EPMS or related industrial automation platforms.
- Understanding of electrical protection systems switchgear RMUs ATS and associated control systems.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
