Prospect Research Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Prospect Research Specialist to support strategic fundraising and development efforts by identifying researching and profiling prospective donors and this role you will provide actionable insights that guide donor engagement strategies strengthen pipeline development and support revenue growth initiatives. This is a fully remote position requiring strong research capabilities data analysis skills and a high level of discretion.

1. Conduct in-depth research to identify and qualify prospective donors sponsors and partners
2. Analyze wealth indicators philanthropic history and engagement patterns
3. Develop detailed prospect profiles briefings and reports for leadership and fundraising teams
4. Maintain and update prospect data within CRM systems
5. Monitor and track donor pipelines ensuring data accuracy and consistency
6. Collaborate with fundraising and donor relations teams to align research with outreach strategies
7. Utilize public records databases and research tools to gather and verify information
8. Support campaign planning by identifying high-potential donor segments
9. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with ethical research and data privacy standards

1. 25 years of experience in prospect research data analysis fundraising support or a related field
2. Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
3. Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce Blackbaud DonorPerfect)
4. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel Google Sheets or similar)
5. Excellent written communication skills for preparing reports and briefings
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment
7. High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information

1. Experience in nonprofit development or fundraising operations
2. Familiarity with wealth screening tools and prospect research platforms
3. Knowledge of donor analytics and segmentation strategies
4. Background in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI)
5. Bachelors degree in Research Data Analytics Communications or a related field
