Job Summary
A dynamic and growing commercial real estate firm is seeking a talented and detail-driven Property Accountant to support our New Orleans portfolio which includes retail medical and office this role youll take ownership of the full financial reporting cycle for assigned properties playing a key role in maintaining the financial health and performance of our portfolio. What Youll Do
- Prepare work by gathering and organizing documents and related information to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Process accounts payable by verifying transaction details scheduling disbursements and securing payment authorization.
- Manage revenue processes by verifying transaction information calculating charges and refunds preparing invoices and identifying delinquent accounts or insufficient payments.
- Support collections by following up with delinquent accounts and communicating with customers on payment issues.
- Produce financial reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing account data and trends.
- Maintain accurate accounting ledgers through timely and precise transaction posting.
- Reconcile accounts by verifying statements and ensuring transaction accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reviewing documentation and initiating payments stop payments or adjustments as needed.
- Safeguard financial accuracy and compliance by adhering to internal accounting controls.
- Protect data integrity by completing database backups.
- Preserve financial history by maintaining organized and thorough accounting records.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute wherever needed to achieve shared goals.
What Youll Bring

- Experience with financial software (Yardi preferred)
