Responsibilities

* Thoroughly review and edit a wide range of documents for errors in grammar spelling punctuation and syntax.
* Ensure consistency in style formatting and terminology across all company materials including technical reports project proposals safety manuals marketing content and internal communications.
* Collaborate with various departments including project management and sales to refine content and ensure technical accuracy.
* Verify facts figures and technical specifications to guarantee the precision of all documentation.
* Assist in maintaining and updating the companys style guide to ensure a consistent and professional brand voice.
* Manage multiple proofreading tasks simultaneously prioritising workload to meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

Qualifications

* Proven professional experience as a proofreader copy editor or in a similar role.
* An exceptional command of the English language with an expert understanding of grammar and punctuation.
* Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
* Excellent time-management and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
* A degree in English Journalism Communications or a related field is highly desirable.
* Previous experience proofreading technical or industry-specific content particularly within the construction or engineering sectors would be a significant advantage.
