Title: Scheduler III

Position Description

The Project Scheduler shall report to the Program Schedular. The Project Scheduler shall be ultimately responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation work as required for the Development & Improvement Program. These schedules may incorporate several scenarios used to nalize construction sequencing and contracting plans. These projects may include but are not limited to: Improvement projects Development projects and Asset Renewal projects.

  • Representing an owner direct experience scheduling multiple interdependent projects
  • Direct forensic scheduling experience to support claims analysis on large complex projects (projects of at least $200M value and 3-years or greater duration)
  • Demonstrate understanding of design and construction methodologies and project life-cycles

Essential Job Duties

  • Review project schedule submittals by Design and Contractor Teams
  • Perform independent analysis of submitted schedules for Owner ensuring all schedule submittal meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the contracts. These independent analyses include but are not limited to the review of:
  • Preliminary schedules
  • Baseline schedules
  • Four week look ahead schedules
  • Monthly schedule updates and corresponding recovery schedules/time impact analysis/time extension requests (as applicable)
  • As-Built Project Schedules
  • Facilitate coordination on interface issues between multiple projects
  • Ensure submitted schedules follow Owner project code and activity code structure
  • Identify understand and apply the relevant sections of the contract to each claim
  • Performs complex schedule analysis and assists in identi cation of risks interdependencies across projects and claims management.
  • Assist with change order and claims disputes
  • Complete analyses of contractors delay claims and related time impact analyses within context of the contract documents and industry practice; examine the claim and actual schedule for later or earlier completion; identify related disruption acceleration and recovery opportunities; and recommend apportionment of the delay and/or acceleration and any additional associated costs in accordance with applicable accepted practices such as AACE International issued Recommended Practice No. 29 Forensic Schedule Analysis (RP 29)
  • Provide reports of analyses and brie ng materials as required. Develop reports that e ectively communicate complex project sequencing and/or forensic assessments
  • As applicable to particular claims provide observations on potential delay mitigation related schedule issues communicate to team and recommend alternatives if any
  • Develops and implements KPIs
  • Applies scheduling experience on large complex projects ($500 million) throughout the project life cycle including planning design and construction
  • Contribute to the advancement of Owners goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders

Hardware/Software Knowledge

  • Requires advanced use of Oracle Primavera software (mastery of Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 or higher required) along with related software tools such as Schedule Analyzer Microsoft Project Claims Digger etc.
  • Pro cient in Microsoft O ce Suite and Bluebeam

Professional Experience Level/Other Quali cations

  • Ten (10) years or more of scheduling experience with 5 plus years of reporting (milestones interdependencies etc.) in direct support of an active construction program covering multiple projects and varying project delivery methods.
  • Direct forensic scheduling experience to support claims analysis on large-scale complex heavy civil vertical and horizontal projects (projects of at least $200M value and 3-years or greater duration) particularly for assessment of delay claims and potential owners liabilities
  • Experience with various delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build DesignCMAR and Design/Build
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling for multiple concurrent and interrelated projects
  • Ability to e ectively communicate technical and schedule related information in oral and written form to non-expert audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other subject matter experts and resources to support owners evaluation of claims
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program contract and the ability to communicate progress and ndings to both technical and management-level personnel
  • Prior experience in aviation and large transportation projects is highly desirable
  • Proven accuracy reliability and completeness in job accomplishment

Education/Training

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or other related technical eld required
  • Relevant Professional Licensure & Certi cations are strongly preferred

Compensation

  • This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $151600.00 - $161600.00 and commensurate with skill education experience and work location.
  • This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
