Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational:
- Design and implement development paths for the planning team ensuring technical proficiency in P6 and advanced forensic scheduling techniques.
- Architect the onboarding program for new planners and supporting staff ensuring consistent integration into GE Vernovas project rhythm and culture.
- Define and enforce Planner Standard Work besides best practices including logic coding structures and planner dashboard maintenance protocols.
- Serve as the reference technical authority for complex planning and scheduling issues performing deep-dive forensic analysis to critical path mitigation.
- Regularly synthesize team performance trends and lessons learned to advise the Pole Leader on necessary adjustments to business initiatives and project control policies.
- Act as Front runner / coach and guide other team members for OPS (one project schedule initiative) implementations within the team.
Cross-Functional Management:
- Partner with the Pole Leader to balance the portfolio proactively identifying resource gaps or bottlenecks before they manifest in project delays.
- Ensure a smooth and seamless integration of all cross-functional support staff into the planning process maintaining high data accuracy and reliable reporting across key tools like the Planner Dashboard OTD Tracker and WIPT.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering Project Management or Business related field required.
Experience:
8 years in Project management.
At least one year of planning or Scheduling within complex EPC or power generation projects.
3 years of planning/scheduling Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6;
Strong understanding of interlinks loading and connected P6 schedules.
Desired Characteristics
- Masters degree preferred PMP certification
- Power Plant Fundamental knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to move beyond reactive reporting to provide proactive solution-oriented project recommendations.
- Ability to communicate complex project scenarios and deliver difficult feedback with clarity and professional tact.
- A good knowledge in process improvement & implementing process improvements that directly impact quality efficiency and effectiveness.
- A track record of developing junior-to-mid-level staff into better-performing contributors.
