Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is looking for an experienced construction Project Manager/Estimator to join our Plumbing Construction team in Madison WI!

If you know how to own a construction project build strong relationships solve problems and keep projects moving we want to talk.

Were looking for someone with solid construction project management experience who can take responsibility for projects from preconstruction through closeout. Commercial plumbing or MEP experience is strongly preferred but were also interested in experienced construction PMs who have the project management foundation and drive to learn the technical side of our business.

This is an opportunity to join an experienced team take ownership of meaningful commercial projects throughout southern Wisconsin and continue developing your technical and leadership skills.

What youll do

As a Project Manager/Estimator youll own the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects including:

• Manage projects from preconstruction and estimating through completion and closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets schedules forecasting billing and other project controls.
• Monitor labor material job costs and overall project profitability.
• Coordinate closely with field leaders project foremen general contractors customers suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify project risks scope changes and potential cost or schedule impacts and drive issues through resolution.
• Manage change orders purchasing procurement and project documentation.
• Prepare estimates and proposals including takeoffs labor considerations and vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the project.

What were looking for

More than anything were looking for a strong construction project manager who takes ownership learns quickly and works well with both customers and field teams.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of construction project management experience with demonstrated ownership of commercial construction projects.
• Experience managing project budgets schedules job costs and customer relationships.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings specifications and contracts.
• Strong communication organization critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and follow issues through resolution.
• Commercial plumbing mechanical HVAC piping or other MEP experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field or equivalent construction or trade experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

Dont have a plumbing background If youve successfully managed commercial construction projects and have the drive and ability to learn a new technical area wed still like to hear from you.

Schedule & work environment

• Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• This is an onsite position based out of our Madison office.
• Local travel to jobsites customer meetings and project meetings throughout southern Wisconsin. No overnight travel.

Compensation

• $80000-$120000 base salary depending on experience
• Vehicle allowance plus company gas card
