This role requires hands-on estimating and project management experience specifically within heavy civil excavation and underground utilities. Candidates without relevant construction experience in these areas will not be considered.

Job Description

• Identify project opportunities and prepare accurate timely estimates for heavy civil excavating and underground utility work
• Manage multiple active projects while maintaining quality safety schedules and profitability
• Coordinate crews equipment and resources to meet customer deadlines
• Monitor labor equipment and accounts payable costs to ensure accurate job costing
• Communicate clearly with foremen and field crews to set expectations and drive accountability
• Respond to customer-driven scope changes and document adjustments to ensure proper compensation
• Partner with finance to support timely billing vendor payments and project closeouts
• Build strong working relationships with customers subcontractors vendors and public entities
• Balance office responsibilities with regular field engagement to stay connected to project realities
• Proactively identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency

Qualifications

• 3 years of estimating and project management experience in heavy civil excavation or underground utilities
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans surveys and specifications
• Solid math skills related to estimating job costing and project analysis
• Field experience operating or working around heavy equipment preferred
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication organization and multitasking skills
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus not required
