About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager Tailings to lead the planning and delivery of capital projects supporting tailings expansion and operational readiness.

This is a great opportunity for a collaborative and solutions-focused professional to contribute to complex large-scale projects while working in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Reporting to the relevant leader and working within a diverse and collaborative project team you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of tailings capital projects ensuring alignment on scope schedule cost and risk
  • Partner with plant and operational stakeholders to identify priorities and define value-driven project scopes
  • Support decision-making through accurate cost estimates schedules and risk assessments
  • Ensure safety is integrated into all project phases from design through execution
  • Manage contractors and vendors ensuring performance compliance and effective delivery
  • Monitor project performance and drive continuous improvement across cost schedule and risk outcomes
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment across cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Where youll be working

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class fully integrated copper mining operation including a concentrator smelter and refinery located just outside Salt Lake City Utah in the United States. We produce copper precious metals including gold and silver molybdenum and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
