Project Manager

Knife River Construction Stockton is a construction business supplying contracting and construction services to public and private customers. We are looking to fill a full-time position of Project Manager.

Responsibilities for the position will include:

1. Assume ownership of project after bid award and lead project kickoff.
2. Review project proposals to determine time frame procedures for accomplishing project staffing and allotment of available resource to various phases of project.
3. Establishes work plan and staffing and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
4. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties responsibilities and scope of authority
5. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel
6. Reviews status report and prepares project reports
7. Coordinate with superintendents subcontractors and vendors.
8. Prepare monthly cost reports schedules and RFIs submittals and document control. Oversee Project Engineer (PE).
9. Provide ongoing support to construction/operations for efficient and profitable execution of work including scheduling procurement and change orders/supplemental work processes.
10. Partner with Contract Administrator to review and process financial aspects of contracts (ie: billings subcontract payments material payments collections etc.)
11. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality equipment operation/repair etc.).
12. Lead owner and stakeholder communications and meetings.
13. Ensure MSHA OSHA EPA DNR safety and environmental regulation compliance.
14. Manage project closeout activities.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Product and industry knowledge
2. Ability to build & maintain relationships
3. Strong understanding of construction contracts and risk management
4. Proficiency with project management software and Excel.
5. Strong leadership communication and decision-making skills.
6. Regulatory compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BS degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 7 years project management experience
3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record
4. Fluency in Microsoft Office.
5. Preference for experience using bidding software HCSS.
