We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide Project/Construction Management (PM/CM) services as an Owners Representative for public-sector construction projects. This role will support essential services facilities including fire and police stations through the Design-Build delivery method.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing public-sector vertical construction projects and serving as a client-facing leader throughout planning design and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary Construction Manager and Owners Representative for assigned projects
- Partner with city departments to provide PM/CM support and project oversight
- Manage project scope budget schedule quality and risk throughout the project lifecycle
- Review contracts drawings specifications estimates and project documentation for compliance
- Lead project meetings and maintain accurate records reports and action items
- Coordinate with contractors architects engineers and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Monitor design and construction progress and provide recommendations and status updates
- Ensure compliance with safety contractual and performance requirements
- Support project logistics staffing scheduling and resource planning
- Maintain strong client relationships and resolve issues effectively to ensure satisfaction
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Architecture or a related field preferred
- 10 years of experience in vertical construction projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
- Experience managing public-sector construction projects
- Prior experience with Civic Municipal Justice Education or other public facilities projects
- Experience with Design-Build project delivery
- Strong understanding of project planning design management construction estimating scheduling cost controls contracts and project delivery methods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder and client management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with project management and construction documentation systems
- Experience with Primavera P6 and Procore
- DBIA certification
- Valid California drivers license with a clean driving record
This position is primarily based on-site in South San Francisco CA and requires regular interaction within office and construction environments. Travel to project sites may be required as needed.
