Role: Project Manager Pharmaceutical Capital Projects

Location: Richmond VA (100% Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (Potential Extension up to 3 Years)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support large-scale capital expansion projects within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for driving project execution managing budgets and schedules coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring successful delivery of CAPEX projects ranging from $10M to $25M.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major site expansion initiative while working closely with Engineering Manufacturing Validation Quality and senior leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage pharmaceutical CAPEX projects valued between $10M and $25M.
• Develop and maintain project schedules budgets resource plans and deliverables.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering Manufacturing Validation Quality Assurance and external vendors.
• Support site expansion and facility build-out initiatives ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Identify project risks develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues when necessary.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Ensure project activities comply with GMP regulatory safety and quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management Life Sciences or a related technical field.
• 5 10 years of Project Management experience within pharmaceutical biotechnology or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience managing capital projects ranging from $10M to $25M.
• Strong understanding of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from planning through execution and closeout.
• Excellent leadership communication stakeholder management and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
