Job Summary

Foster CM Group is seeking an experienced PROJECT MANAGER for a full-time position located in Orlando FL.

Project Manager will manage construction projects from design through construction completion and will be accountable for construction activity tailored to each contracts individual contract documents. Must rely heavily on personal experience and judgement to plan manage and accomplish successful project completion.

Job Responsibilities:

Interpret construction documents and administer contracts.
Manages the design development and implementation of projects to include but not limited to gathering and defining the project requirements.
Manages identified project quality objectives and assess project progress.
Facilitates project meetings and communicates project expectations;
Reviews and assess project schedule including monitoring project milestones and critical dates to identify potential risk to project schedule
Assist in resolving design and constructability issues using standard construction practices.
Assesses variances from the project plans; makes recommendations and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time cost and quality objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge and sound judgement to settle disputes and negotiations between parties.
Conducts formal quality assurance reviews during construction and upon project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction.
Regularly meets with stakeholders to confirm client expectations and report project status.
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelors Degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or related field and four (4) years related experience.
Previous airport construction experience or experience in an architectural or engineering firm commercial construction company or governmental agency is preferred.
Demonstrated planning time-management and organizational skills.
Experience with estimating scheduling design and construction required.
Experience with complex commercial renovation projects desired.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in the use of computers.
Must be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules including weekends to accommodate operations.
Valid Floridas driver license.
Professional Engineer and/or Contractors license is desirable.
Must be able to successfully pass a background security clearance.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts uneven ground exposure to dust gas or fumes exposure to loud noise and outside weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting walking standing bending squatting climbing kneeling twisting stooping crawling pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity and potentially work at heights.

Other Requirements:

Possession of a valid state of residence drivers license with a clean driving record.
Daily travel to and from construction sites generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term out of town assignments may be required. Long term out of town assignments may be required with advance notice of planned dates.
May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet clients needs including nights overtime and weekends.
