Job Summary

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Project Manager Master Plan Advisory to support master planning site planning and development projects throughout Texas and across the country. This position blends architectural design site planning graphics and project management with a strong emphasis on developing visual planning concepts and supporting client presentations.

Position Details
  • Location: Texas; Houston preferred but candidates may be located anywhere in Texas

  • Work Schedule: MondayFriday approximately 8:00 AM5:00 PM

  • Hybrid Schedule: Approximately 3 days per week in office when not traveling

  • Travel: Periodic nationwide travel typically around once per month

  • Some evening availability may occasionally be required to support West Coast clients

  • Interview Process: Typically two virtual interviews with a possible in-person interview depending on candidate location and scheduling

What This Job Involves

The Project Manager will support a growing Master Plan Advisory practice focused on helping clients evaluate plan and execute development opportunities from early concept through implementation.

Approximately 75% of the role will focus on site planning and graphic development including bubble diagrams scenario planning density studies site test fits and presentation materials. The remaining portion of the role will involve client meetings internal coordination project management and stakeholder communication.

The selected candidate will typically support multiple senior project leaders across approximately 35 active projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop site planning concepts bubble diagrams scenario plans density studies and site test fits

  • Create clear and compelling planning graphics and presentation materials for internal and client-facing use

  • Support master planning feasibility due diligence and site selection initiatives

  • Conduct site assessments and evaluate development opportunities across multiple markets

  • Assist with zoning research entitlement considerations infrastructure planning and development strategy

  • Develop 2D and 3D planning concepts to evaluate project feasibility

  • Coordinate with architects master planners engineers infrastructure specialists and other internal teams

  • Participate in client meetings and communicate planning concepts project findings and recommendations

  • Support senior leadership in the delivery of multiple concurrent projects

  • Assist with project schedules implementation plans budgets risks and overall project coordination

  • Develop presentations using PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Support projects across sectors including mixed-use education healthcare institutional industrial and life sciences

  • Assist with site acquisition site assessment and development planning activities

  • Maintain strong communication with clients stakeholders and internal project teams

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Architecture Urban Design Urban Planning Civil Engineering or a related field

  • Approximately 56 years of professional experience preferably within architecture master planning land planning or development

  • Strong architectural or site planning background; this role is not focused on interior design

  • Demonstrated experience developing site planning graphics diagrams concepts and presentation materials

  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience with AutoCAD SketchUp Rhino or similar planning and design software

  • Understanding of master planning land planning site development and infrastructure considerations

  • Ability to manage and support several projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication presentation and organizational skills

  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams

  • Willingness to travel periodically throughout the United States

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with zoning entitlement processes and jurisdictional requirements

  • Experience working on large-scale site planning or development projects

  • Familiarity with constructability and implementation planning

  • Experience with community or stakeholder engagement

  • Land planning experience within an architecture planning engineering or development environment

  • Civil engineering candidates may be considered if they possess significant land planning and site planning experience
