Who are we looking for

Our US East Transportation (Maritime & Coastal) Group is growing! We are looking for a Maritime & Coastal Project Manager to help us win work and deliver projects in the Boston area in collaboration with the larger Maritime & Coastal team nationally.

In this role youll build strong professional networks engage confidently with clients regulators and the public and deliver highquality technical work that drives projects forward. Youll lead coastal environmental efforts ranging from wetland restoration and living shorelines to sea level rise adaptation sediment management and regional planning.

Youll guide a coastal team through a diverse portfolio of private and governmental projects expand markets through strategic client and partner relationships and leverage Salesforce to support business development. This position is ideal for someone who brings broad industry insight thrives in multidisciplinary collaboration and solves complex coastal challenges with fresh perspective. By integrating applied coastal science with engineering design planning and other complementary fields youll help deliver innovative solutions and meaningful impact for the communities we serve.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.
  • Solutions Analysis: Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.
  • Insights and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
  • Request for Bid Solicitation/Proposal/Tender Response: Gather information and resources draft and complete proposals and fulfill all process requirements (in terms of deadlines documentation etc.) in response to bid solicitations request for proposal and request for tender to create the best chance of being awarded the contract.
  • Project Management: Deliver small- or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.
  • Community of Practice Management: Participate in and contribute to a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to build own capability and develop innovative practice among colleagues.
  • Health Safety and Environment: Monitor and review performance against health safety and environment (HSE) key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organizations HSE policies procedures and mandatory instructions.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing education attending conferences and reading specialist media.
  • Analysis of As Is and To Be: Document as is and to be processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the to be capability to record accurately the change required.

What youll bring to the team:

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Coastal Engineering Coastal Resiliency Coastal Processes Oceanography or related field
  • 10-15 years of maritime and coastal experience including that in a consulting environment
  • Project management experience
  • Business development experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients project teams and the public
  • Able and willing to travel as needed

Salary range: $96000-$188000 based on experience & location
