POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager serves as a leader of a construction project responsible for the oversight of all construction efforts at a large project site. Working under limited supervision and general direction this individual independently applies advanced techniques to complex assignments demonstrating the knowledge and skill of a fully competent and experienced professional. Through effective coordination and sound decision-making the Project Manager ensures that all construction activities are carried out efficiently and in alignment with project goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide oversight of construction-related activities for contracts.
• Support COR by performing all project management tasks.
• Provide the day-to-day project management for construction and service projects.
• Tasks include coordination with customers schedule review and design review.
• Develop solutions to construction problems or existing conditions encountered in the field.
• Review contractor submittals for contract conformance.
• Aid the contracting officer or COR throughout the acquisition phases of the project to include answering offerors questions; attending/participating in site orientation visits; attending/participating in joint contractor/government meetings.
• Draft technical responses to any change orders.
• Prepare statement of work and cost estimate for new contracts and contract modifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a U.S Citizen
• Has underdone a minimum of a Tier 1 Public Trust 1 background investigation or higher within the last 5 years
• Will be required to undergo a DHS Suitability assessment
• Four-year degree in construction management engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years project management work experience on commercial or Government construction projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prefer PMP or other project management certification
