Job Summary:

This Project Management position will work for the Information Technology Group and will be responsible for managing IT related aspects of tenant improvement and construction projects. Prioritizes and plans project activities across agency divisions; gather and manage requirement; sets goals and objectives; uses time efficiently; communicates activities and results to appropriate teams.

Job Duties:

Manages/Leads multiple projects based on repeatable standards and practices where possible but also may require defining new approaches and provides answers to simple frequently asked questions from customers and provide troubleshooting at a basic level for the help desk

Facilitates the definition of project missions goals tasks and resource requirements.

Participates in the design and/or testing phases.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

Both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
Organizations methodologies and tools.
Organizations policies and procedures.
Proficiency with Project Management.
Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
Requirement gathering

Skill in:

Strong customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
Proficient project management skills.
Google suites.

Ability to:

Balance prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations.
Aynthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly.
Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.
Develop and write technical documentation.
Leading team(s) to design solutions for clients.

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelors degree plus 3 or more years of experience in project coordination and management (or equivalent experience).
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.
Arizona State Project Management Certification.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
