We are seeking aProject Manager II to independently lead complex ecological restoration projects across planning permitting field execution and delivery. If youre experienced in managing multi-disciplinary teams working with contractors and driving technical projects with minimal supervisionthis is your chance to make a real tangible impact on the environment.
Youll work out of one of RESs regional offices or field hubs collaborating closely with internal scientists engineers construction teams external stakeholders and subcontractors. You can expect to travel up to 25% of the time particularly during project kickoffs field execution phases and regulatory position is essential to maintain delivery performance support expanding market opportunities in Ohio Pennsylvania West Virginia working on full delivery projects and mitigation banks.

A Day in the Life
As a Project Manager II at RES your days will involve leading restoration projects through every phasefrom opportunity development to construction close-out. Youll develop project schedules build and manage budgets lead cross-functional team meetings and ensure regulatory compliance. Youll work independently to resolve project challenges mitigate risks and keep stakeholders informed. Using RESs Best Management Practices (BMPs)including Opportunity Charters Risk Registers and Project Plansyoull track performance and drive results.
In the field you might be coordinating subcontractors inspecting active sites or conducting team check-ins. At your desk youll review technical documents prepare financial reports and communicate updates with clients and regulators. Every day youll have the opportunity to lead meaningful work that restores critical ecosystems.
We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:
- ABachelors degree in applied sciences environmental engineering construction management or a related fieldor equivalent experience
- At least6 years of experience in engineering construction or environmental project work
- 3 years of direct project management experience including ownership of scope schedule and budget
- Proficiency withproject management tools such as MS Project Smartsheet or equivalent
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance
- Experience managingsubcontractors consultants and vendors
- Ability to lead complex projects independently with limited supervision
- Excellent communication problem-solving and team leadership skills
- Comfort working infield settings construction zones and regulatory environments
- PMP certification PE/PG license or relevant advanced degree
- Experience managing ecological restoration mitigation banking or conservation projects
- Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and mentor junior PMs or technical staff
- Experience with complex stakeholder coordination including regulators clients and contractors
