Project Manager

SUMMARY

Ajax Building Company part of the STO Building Group is seeking a driven Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through this role you will partner closely with field leadership subcontractors and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects safely on schedule and within budget. You will serve as the primary point of contact for owners architects and engineers while actively managing project performance cost and risk to drive successful outcomes.
The Project Manager reports to and is directly accountable to the Project Executive.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Hire lead develop and manage project personnel including delegation and reassignment of responsibilities in alignment with company policies and project needs
• Lead overall project execution coordinating field teams subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule within budget and in accordance with contract documents
• Establish and implement project operating procedures to drive consistency efficiency and successful project outcomes
• Oversee development and management of project budgets and schedules ensuring accuracy accountability and proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle
• Review and analyze project performance reports to effectively manage cost schedule quality and safety keeping leadership informed of project status and risks
• Manage procurement and approve material purchases equipment rentals and jobsite tools not included in the original estimate
• Serve as the primary company representative in communications and negotiations with owners architects engineers and key stakeholders
• Oversee contract administration including approval of agreements and costs associated with equipment repairs and subcontractor/vendor scope
• Audit and monitor all project activities from contract execution through closeout and warranty to ensure efficiency profitability and compliance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams clients subcontractors and partners to support successful project delivery
• Promote a culture of safety quality and continuous improvement through active participation in company initiatives including the Quality Improvement Plan
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and trends and their impact on the corporation.
• Advanced interpersonal communicative and organizational skills.
