Job Summary

Bachelors Degree from an accredited university required in Construction Management or related field
Three to five years of experience in training in communications and organizations required. Procurement background or related field.
Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists
Computer skills specifically familiarity with Microsoft Window Microsoft Office Professional and statistical/financial/ accounting software applications
Effective interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of employees staff members and the general public
Demonstrated task-oriented self-starter with the ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy
Demonstrated organizational planning and problem-solving/investigative skills
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and assignments high degree of flexibility required
Demonstrated knowledge of school district organizations operations and administrative policies preferred

Responsible for furniture fixtures and equipment procurement for the Bond Program regarding purchase delivery coordination inventory and completion
Direct interact with program manager(s) involving procurement services
Source within Construction Services for procurement methods and monitors compliance
Management of special projects as assigned
Interact with suppliers/vendors and key district personnel for procurement of furniture fixtures and equipment
Represent Construction Services in coordination of all Dallas ISD Purchasing Department Policies and Procedures as they relate to the Dallas ISD Bond Program and various procurement applications
Responsible for quotations and bid tabulations acceptance/rejection letters and issuance of Assignments of Work related to projects assigned within Construction Services
Provide statistical information related to Construction Services products and services within job responsibilities for current and future reference as requested
Responsible for meeting with and collaboration with suppliers/vendors to learn of new products new services and researching sources of products and services as needed
Responsible and knowledgeable of purchasing via State Contracts and Cooperative Programs
Interact with program manager(s) involving workflow and protocol
Coordinate with Program Management Firms and Dallas lSD Project Managers any related pre-bid conferences and bid openings per a maintained and established calendar
Provide oversight to Program Management Firms as needed in qualifying and evaluating firms proposing to provide products and services with respect to the Bond Program
Responsible for development and preparation of assigned board documents for the Dallas lSD Bond Program
Knowledge of various contract forms and procurement methods; and assists with monitoring compliance for all Construction Services procurements
Ensure the proper processing of District forms
Responsible for the organization and management of contract payment files furniture fixture and equipment and any start-up material files associated with the Dallas lSD Bond Program
Assists and manages the receiving of FF&E and startup materials; as well as approves the authorization for payment for these invoices for the Dallas lSD Bond Program
Provide regular feedback to supervisor regarding the status of projects or issues
Assist in maintaining and amending Construction Services Departmental Procedures Manual Educational Specifications Technical Design
Guidelines and Procurement Procedures for the Dallas lSD Bond Program
Respond to inquiries from employees/public in accurate knowledgeable and efficient manner; advise supervisor of all inquiries that cannot be personally handled
Assist with Public Information Requests
Assist as needed with payroll for department and non-Construction Services contracted services such as custodial overtime and security supplied by Dallas lSD Police Department
Provides supervision of Program Management and Dallas ISD Bond Personnel in coordinating the processes and procedures for installations of Furniture Fixtures and Equipment as well as any startup materials or equipment related to the Dallas ISD Bond Program
Provides coordination of Furniture fixtures and equipment and/or startup materials within the Dallas ISD Bond Program
