Project Manager, Design and Development

The Associate Director of Design and Development is responsible for leading and collaborating on all aspects of the design process. While excelling as a strong communicator with a passion for solving both design and business challenges this role will also ensure design is aligned with organizational goals budgets and schedules.

This role provides end -to-end design leadership from concept development through full design documentation ensuring that all program requirements aesthetic goals technical standards and operational needs are accurately captured. The candidate oversees the design process until formal handoff to the execution/construction team ensuring continuity accuracy and alignment with project objectives. The role requires strong technical proficiency and the ability to create develop and process full drawing sets.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Translate business and operational requirements into comprehensive design briefs for internal use and consultant engagement.
• Lead internal concepting schematic design and development phases producing accurate coordinated drawing sets as needed.
• Manage and direct external architects designers engineers and consultants to ensure alignment with scope schedule brand standards and functional requirements.
• Review and refine consultant drawings specifications and deliverables to maintain quality and consistency.
• Present design concepts options and recommendations to internal leadership and cross -functional partners.
• Coordinate design decisions with real estate project management workplace and operations to ensure feasibility and execution readiness.
• Ensure smooth handover to the execution/construction team with complete documentation clear design intent and required approvals.
• Establish and maintain design standards guidelines and templates for uniformity across the portfolio.
• Oversee design -related RFPs consultant selection and scope definition.
• Support value engineering and budget alignment without compromising design integrity.

Qualifications :

• 10 years of experience in design and development roles
• Bachelors degree or higher - preferably in architecture
• Specific skills - AutoCAD Revit BlueBeam Photoshop Power Point Smart Sheets Power BI

Additional desired qualifications

• Experience in complex interior programs as well as base building design and execution
• Knowledge of sustainability integrated design and LEED guidelines.
• Exceptional client facing skills

Additional Information :

The salary range for this full-time role is $130K - $160K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on candidates experience and qualifications. *On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our clients needs
