Project Management Specialist (Senior or Lead)

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Specialist (Senior or Lead) to join the Satellite Factory Integration team located in El Segundo!

Position Responsibilities:

Level 4:

• Leads develops coordinates integrates analyzes and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.
• Leads studies/analysis (trend variance impact) reports risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts constraints involving product development production rates process improvement program initiatives.
• Identifies risk and opportunity potential develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
• Develops and establishes lead time requirements.
• Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan schedules change and baseline management processes techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.
• Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
• Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
• Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.

Level 5:

• Oversees develops coordinates integrates analyzes and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards.
• Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend variance impact) determines scope reports and oversight of planning requests. Identifies risk and opportunity potential develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
• Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules.
• Consults and recommends integrated planning scheduling change and baseline management processes techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry.
• Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
• Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders.
• Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division Business Unit and/or Enterprise levels.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors degree or higher
• Active Security Clearance
• 5 years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
• 5 years of experience using Microsoft Project
• Experience in product support
• 5 years of experience leading teams or projects to successful completion
• 5 years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project Milestones Primavera Open Plan Professional etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with Advanced Composite Fabrication
• Experience directly supporting a proprietary program
• Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills with leadership and colleagues in an operations environment.

Level 5

• 10 years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
• 10 years of experience using Microsoft Project
• Experience in product support
• 10 years of experience leading teams or projects to successful completion
• 10 years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project Milestones Primavera Open Plan Professional etc.

Summary pay range: USD Level 4 Senior: $126650 - $171350

Level 5 Lead: $156400 - $211600
